About me
I am a Visual Art Educator driven to instruct and challenge students in their understanding, knowledge, and appreciation of art. Graduating with a BA in Art Education from The University of Akron in May of 2024, I have been prepared to quickly adapt to different learning environments and accommodate students' needs. Experienced in teaching a variety of communities, I can quickly adapt to the classroom and am a reliable team player, volunteering to help with after-school activities. I student taught at Innes Community Learning Center and accepted a position to work as a long-term substitute teacher at Olentangy High School.
“Creativity requires input, and that's what research is. You're gathering material with which to build.”

Work Experience
Gahanna Lincoln High School
Art Teacher/ Aug 2025 - Present
Worked alongside 6 other art teachers, taught, and made curriculum in sections of Creative Concepts, Drawing I, and Drawing II. Using information on what was taught in the past, adjusted and made assignments and projects of my own, learned more about how to create content, adjust, and get a better feeling of what my students were capable of. Encouraged and pushed students in working with unfamiliar materials, navigated through challenges, and, with a flexible mindset, overcame challenges. Continued to step out of comfort zone, reached out for help, interacted and participated in community events, growing relationships with students, parents, and staff of GLHS.
